What is Refined Glycerine?

Refined Glycerine (glycerin, glycerol, or 1,2,3-propanetriol) is the simplest trihedric alcohol. Refined glycerin has its application in personal care, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, paint, tobacoo and other specialty applications. The high purity Refined Glycerine is a clear liquid and contains no methanol, soaps, salts, and other foreign matter. Refined Glycerine is also soluble in alcohol but only partially soluble in common organic solvents such as ether and ethyl acetate. Refined glycerine is hygroscopic and hence, resists freezing.
